Typically there are minor ‘impurities’ that make the ‘real’ thing taste different.
Vanillin, for example, is very easy to produce chemically, which is good, because growing and harvesting it naturally is very difficult, but it’s missing a lot of the compounds which add subtle yet important taste and smell to the natural stuff.
That is crazy good… if all I need is to get a pcb heater and learn how to surface mount to print someone’s custom board, it really opens up the possibilities of open source electronics.
This is as far from cute as things can get before turning into outright cosmic horror
You think people like this have enough self-awareness to be ashamed?
Laws still apply, just not to the people in power.
Hmm not quite what that should look like
The number list is how markdown works. You can enter all 1’s and it will automatically create ordered list.
Handy when you may need to edit list items, as you dont need to renumber even in plain text.
Markdown spec should allow for explicit number by using a bracket ‘)’ instead of a dot, but it may not work everywhere.
Let’s give it a go
3) start from 3

I was just forced to upgrade at work. There are still number of dependencies to the old style of settings, but they’ve done great job on the new panel for the most part.
Everything is in one place, no longer do we have dozen different modals for everything, it makes a lot more sense, provides more information about devices.
It’s obviously a lot of work, but I think they’re taking it in the right direction.
It’s neat*, but must be impossible to keep clean.
That should be illegal in any country
I have wasted a bunch of time making things, but like woodworking or similar trades, it’s fun and rewarding.
As much as I’d like to do that, I have listened to over 7000 artists on Spotify.
I simply don’t have the time (or money) to look those up individually.
So I can either choose to have worse experience, or stick with Spotify for now.
I use audiobookshelf. Obviously for audiobooks mainly, but it does podcasts and it works well.
That just proves the point. The politicians will do what serves them best, regardless of what’s good for the people or the country.
All of those senior devs that got sacked will be laughing for the rehire salary increase, assuming their company doesn’t fold on the ai code house of cards.
I have recently booted into dad’s decade(s?) old xp pc and was baffled by how snappy that thing was…
There are addons to unload tabs after a time, so you can feed your watchlist habit even more aggressively
Fascinating and scary how poorly regulated it still is today.
I was also wrong about how teflon is joined to cookware. I don’t know where I got that from.
It’s not about teflon, but the chemicals used to attach this (or any other) extremely non-sticky plastic to a pan.
Imagine the kind of chemistry needed to make a thing that a cooked egg slides off on it’s own stick to a metal surface in high temperatures.
* This is mostly incorrect, I don’t want to spread misinformation.
Teflon is otherwise inert and shouldn’t have health implications on it’s own (that we know of).
Obviously I’ll still avoid ingesting any more plastic myself, as much as I can help it. Not suggesting anyone chews on PTFE tubes.
