    In 2024, California boasted 178,500 total EV ports compared to around 120,000 estimated gas nozzles, according to the California Energy Commission.

    More than 700,000 Level 2 chargers are installed across the state in single-family homes, according to state estimates.

    There’s some free ones too. My wife and I use them when we drive up to the Bay Area. Caltrans is awesome. It costs us about $200 to drive my truck up, and about $25 to drive her electric car up.
