    Hey it’s the same story as in Germany: the ordinary people pay. Though, it’s not data centers that enforce electricity grid upgrades but the many producers of renewables and its variable power load.

      Actually it is the political blockades in the south, preventing sufficient transfer capacity from the north to the south where most of that energy is used This leads to renewable producers in the north having to throttle, while fossil producers in the south get paid extra for “fixing” gaps in the supply. And that “service” to the network is paid handsomely and paid by everyone in the grid.

      This is deliberate sabotage by corrupt politicians and the fossil energy lobby.

        That’s was a decent propaganda slop tho

        Utilities are fucking running tabs on the upgrades BC they get paid on volume so they have incentive to inflate CapEx since they get to spend it and take a cut on top.

        It is a claim system of private ownership where they get all profit while we lay for everything
