Trump did not indicate at the briefing whether he intends to reclassify the drug, just that his administration would consider it. Reclassifying marijuana as a Schedule III drug would reduce penalties without making it fully legal.

“As I have previously stated, I believe it is time to end needless arrests and incarcerations of adults for small amounts of marijuana for personal use,” he wrote on Truth Social. “We must also implement smart regulations, while providing access for adults, to safe, tested product.”

In the post, he indicated he would look into the medical uses of marijuana and the benefits of reducing its classification to Schedule III.

This is bizarre. Obviously Trump doesn’t smoke weed, and probably nobody in his administration does either. I can’t imagine Trump doing anything that he is not personally invested in somehow. So what gives?

they keep edging closing the thc-a/hemp loophole and putting it off over and over. my guess is there are backroom negotiations. many of these hemp cos are owned by people in Trump’s orbit.

others are just outlet malls for leftover dispensary bud. and the industry is just too big now.

similar to know synthetic kratom isolates are about to be thrown under the bus but some deal is being made to keep leaf kratom legal.

so my guess is they finally close the loophole in exchange for lowering scheduling. but it will still require a prescription so i dunno seems like a bad idea not sure how his bro circles will make $

It came out a while ago, but there was a More Perfect Union video on the weed industry and how the capitalists (including Florida GOP members) are fucking it up nationwide for more profit.
