    My wife and I have been annoyingly militant about this over the past 10 years. A.I. has proven this to be maybe the best decision we ever made.

    As a parent, I already don’t post photos of my daughter online. As soon as you post them, you no longer own them. They can be copied, sold and distributed at any time, for any reason. This has always been the case.

    AI just makes this issue even worse.

    the solution is use AI to make phony photos of children that are uglier than your own children and post those as your children.

    I’m a parent. Never post photos of my kids online and was able to get my wife to avoid it as well.

    Had to have some discussions with the grandparents though about posting photos of the kids online. Thankfully once I explained why they were understanding and now we just keep photos of the kids to shared signal groups between the grandparents, great-grandparents, uncles and aunts.
