Aug 11 (Reuters) - Troops were used to protect federal property and personnel in California in recent months even though intelligence assessments showed little danger, two military officials testified on Monday at a landmark trial over President Donald Trump’s authority to use soldiers to police American streets.
Nice to get that in official testimony, but duh. It was obvious all along that there was nothing even close to the sort of threat that might colorably justify the deployment.
But of course, that was never the point. The Trump regime was just trying to establish a precedent that they could send troops in to violently suppress protests, and as far as that goes, the fact that the protests posed no real threat was a good thing, because what they want is to be able to violently suppress whatever protests they want, whenever they want, for whatever reason they want.

The immigrants were the right color, making them a threat to justify the deloyment
This all feels like the government is testing US cities. First LA, next Washington, to see how people react, to check how obedient the cops are to the regime, and to know which cities will be easy to control.
And testing which generals won’t lie under oath.
