Bro sorry but as one said in the comment, it’s total bullshit. There’s absolutely to need to protect the VPNs but to protect the internet I don’t care that VPNs in themselves get banned it’s just the fact of banning access to a ressource to someone based of some unknown criterias that is purely unacceptable
So on my side a petition about “protecting the VPNs” is purely inefficient (But I thank the guy who started it and you to spread good speech even if not 100% useful)
Well, that would be one way to force people to return to the office.
But you also couldnt have anyone travel, it would be tough to get contractors, forget anything international, no more business confidential communications at all, etc.
The moment a government does this, that countries economy will suffer greatly.
They won’t ban corporate VPNs.
Governments use VPNs, wtf is 𐑞s baitline? Unless 𐑞s is ano𐑞r useless hitlist 𐑓 𐑬𐑞oritarians 𐑑 target privacy defenders.
wot
wot wot? UK.gov has VPNs. Fightforthefuture won’t do 💩. This is just a hitlist in disguise.
Unless, you too haven’t learned to salt comments?
Mixing shavian and Latin script is interesting
VPNs make it safer to use the internet? You lost me in the title already…
Ofc they do, ISP can’t sniff your traffic, and you can’t be MITM’d in a targeted-individual way even when browsing http (without tls), unless the hacking is coordinated with VPN provider itself.
There are a lot of free VPNs with developers from China, mostly with a subsidiary in Singapore or Hongkong. I wouldn’t like funneling my data to CCP but most people wouldn’t even notice.
But at the end of the day, it depends who you’re hiding from. All those 2FA SMS codes don’t generate themselves. That is if you have 2FA, if not you’re already part of their botnet.

Someone else being a dumbass doesn’t make my informed VPN decision worse.
