every element type has a genie associated with it. so, if you make a wish to a surprise genie do you get what you asked for or don’t?
It depends.
When you make a wish you have to roll a check to see if you can identify the genie. If you fail the check then the wish is surprisingly the opposite of what you asked for, but if you successfully identify the monster then the wish is surprisingly accurate without any tricks.
I think there’s a really fun TTRPG npc somewhere in there.
