Pretty sure China would block all lemmy instances they knew of, the smaller ones just flew under the radar.

Show me a more powerful handheld from the year 2017, that has the same (or smaller) size. Just 1 example is enough :)
Well, the original post (as in the image) is about locking yourself out of a remote server by changing a firewall rule, thus needing to drive to the server to access it locally.
By using wireguard to tunnel into the router, you can remotely enter the LAN, thus bypassing the firewall, as if you were accessing the server locally.
It let’s me remote into their LAN, thus bypassing the firewall

Not saying I believe in that, but that would be a very poetic form of justice/karma

Still way too expensive for your average joe to do without the intention of somehow turning a profit, but you can do it for less than €100k today, with prices trending downwards. Feels weird to say, but launching a satellite is currently significantly cheaper than buying a home

The heaters for the cabin air probably couldn’t keep up.
This made me curious if planes use “free” excess heat from the jet engines, same as a car would, or if they need to burn fuel to heat the cabin. And it turns out the latter is the case, so not only could the heaters probably not keep up, attempting to even do so would have wasted a ton of fuel.
Well, I have my server running in my parents basement, because they have fiber, and I don’t.
It’s not quite a 500km drive, but still a long enough distance for this scenario to be a major inconvenience.
But since I have wireguard running on their router though this specific scenario is not something that could happen to me

This is absolutely terrible advice. It takes an insane amount of physical activity to burn the calories of a meal, and being in a deficit will make you feel hungry regardless.
The majority of people need to worry about putting down their fork, not doing more physical activities

I mean, we have had solid proof that giving children homework is counterproductive for at least 2 decades now. Maybe this will be the final straw that actually makes us listen to the experts and just stop giving children homework
