BlackPenguins@lemmy.worldto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Are movie recap videos overdone on platforms like youtube?14·24 days agoManOfRecaps is like the only good one out there. There’s plenty but it’s AI generated or uses a voice synthasizer. So overdone yes, overdone well no.
BlackPenguins@lemmy.worldto Selfhosted@lemmy.world•My Ultimate Self-hosting SetupEnglish2·25 days agoWhat’s your hardware setup for all of this? I’ve got an 8 core, 16 GB, 5TB external NUC but it starts struggling after I add a few services. BitWarden in particular so I just used their services instead. I’d love to run everything myself for same reasons but I def might need an upgrade first.
That Web Addresses placement is killing me.
Just maybe don’t plaster “THESE ARE MY SECRETS” on the cover. Security through obscurity.
BlackPenguins@lemmy.worldto Privacy@lemmy.ml•[OC] What People Think Privacy/Security Is11·1 month agoI just think the most trustworthy VPN is the one no one is talking about. NordVPN is a sponsor on every single YouTube video. They are mainstream. I don’t trust mainstream. Mullvad has proven they don’t keep logs. They are simple. They don’t even have accounts. A 16 digit number is all you get to login. No pass. No email. No ties to you. You fill your subscription like quarters in a meter.
Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!
One FBI is Trump’s and is doing a cover up.
No joke I might actually go out and buy one today if it’s this easy to do in my apartment.
What exactly is a swing? Cause I just imagine spinning in circles letting it go and destroying my TV. I assume back and forth? Or in front of me? Over my head? 90 degrees?
You did not get the 30 Rock quote I see.
Just know he’s someone who wants you to eat his entire ass.
BlackPenguins@lemmy.worldto Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•What technology will disappear in the next 10 years?5·1 month agoIf it’s something serious, yes. Like fixing something. I also use it as an idea generator. I needed to figure out why my toilet wasn’t flushing. It suggested the flapper. So then I went to YouTube and looked up a video on how to install it once it pointed me in a direction.
BlackPenguins@lemmy.worldto Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•What technology will disappear in the next 10 years?53·1 month agoYou can actually ask for its sources now and fact check yourself. But just like anything you read online, use common sense. I’d see those same results in a Google search too.
BlackPenguins@lemmy.worldto Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•What technology will disappear in the next 10 years?2·1 month agoYeah I do realize the inevitable problem when their sources dry up because no one is communicating anymore but for the quick questions about how something works in the world it’s extremely convenient. I’d just be asking Google anyway.
BlackPenguins@lemmy.worldto Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•What technology will disappear in the next 10 years?5·1 month agoParticipation in what? A quick search on how to fix my toilet and how a toilet works. You think I was going to sign up for a toilet message board and chat?

Nope. I’m afraid of it. And it’s 2025 so that means we ban it. No more water!
