Thats true. I mean they are a real estate company that also sells burgers from the corporate view. They don’t care about quality, just that the franchise can afford rent.

They look at one verse, 2 Timothey 3:16 “All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness,”
and apply that to the entire Bible, including the letters written to different sects in different cities/regions clarifying rules to keep them from breaking apart. Kinda like from Ghost, they imagine god reaching down and writing through people I guess.
There also the fact that speakers on modern tvs suck because they want only a little black frame around the screen. CRTV speakers pointed at the viewer and modern tvs point downward or behind the screen, so everything is a bit muffled. It’s like they forgot that audio is a big aspect of watching shows and movies or they are wanting to make a ton of money off a separate speaker system.
If we were having this conversation in 2017, I’d agree with you. However Trump announced his run over 10 years ago and has been spewing more of the same shit since then. The excuse about not knowing isn’t really valid anymore. The morons who voted for Hitler are called fascist, just as were the bigots who fervently supporter him.
They need to be taught that anything they use their school email address to log in to or anything on their school laptop can be seen by others. That’s the important lesson missing here.
They also need to be taught how to log out of their school accounts and use a personal account while on a personal device and not doing homework.
This can really hurt students who consider or are unaware of privacy risks while on the internet or on a school device.
Gen Z was born 1996-2009, the oldest were 19 years old in 2016 when Trump campaigned to drain the swamp, which famously didnt work.
Only racists and fascists voted for him after 2016. He was surprisingly open about all the terrible things that have happened so far in his second term while on the campaign trail. Although I never listened to his campaign ramblings (nor did a large chunk of his crowd), I didn’t see reports about the drain the swamp slogan after the first term.
How did it take them 9 years to feel duped?
In 2018, there were 19.9 million in the Votaing Age Population, 15.8 million registered voters, and only 8.3 million voted in the Senate race.
People needed to get out and vote. To say gun control stopped democrats from voting Beto is insane. Beto lost by a mere 215,000 votes, that’s about 2/3 the population of a suburb in any of the metro areas. We need democrats to pay any amount of attention and engage voters here.
I understand, I was expanding your statement to emphasize the fact that nobody is safe crossing into the US anymore.
Even if it was cheaper to go to another continent, that means dealing with US customs and/or ICE on the way back for US citizens. With due process going out the window, that’s even unsafe.
It is, they didn’t even get the lyrics right. Makes you immune to playing the song in your head lol
That’s crazy, with the reportedly large ICE presence in LA, I’m sure domestic tourism is even down.
I’ve heard the same about the Disney parks, where people are wondering why it’s not as crowded as usual.
Yeah, he has been great for the GOP power grab back from the Tea Party that shoved the Republicans so far to the right.
A large portion of the Texan population holds that their vote is worthless and won’t take 20-30 minutes to go vote. Beto O’Rourke was so close to beating Cruz and then last time Cruz was up for election of ~23 million in the voting age population, ~18 million were registered to vote, and ~11.3 million actually voted. There were some Trump voters that didn’t vote for Cruz, but we didn’t get enough Democrats out to vote and defeat Cruz.
It’s frustrating to see what all is at stake and still see people sit at home instead of waking up early one day to go vote when polls open at 7 AM.
Only immediate consequences. The gerrymandering they want to pass has the potential to screw the state and country depending on how the gerrymandering works and is perceived to work. I’m afraid this may make our voting numbers go down even more.
No telling what can happen if Republicans achieve their goal of solidifying a bigger majority in the US House. We’ve already seen that Texans are willing to keep Cruz in the senate, rather than spend 30 minutes voting.
Yeah, it’s crazy working as a server now. $2.15/hour plus tips. You have to be somewhere that makes good tips. The law only guarantees that you will make at least $7.25/hour and the restaurant is supposed to pay you to that average only if tips don’t get you to minimum wage.
That’s true, international tourism is down across the country, not just domestic tourism.
I imagine there’s a lot less tourists since ICE started showing up in big numbers in LA. The presence of a large oppressice force also makes some question whether they want to go out or not, especially those close to the people who have been kidnapped.
Your calculations are gross income. He should also have to pay Satan his tax, as well as pay for food and housing. With all that, he would have very little saved and take much longer.
The people who write the laws are saying they are OK with this. The law doesn’t mean much when the corrupt have the pen and paper.
The genie just made 1 US Dollar equal to 1 Australian dollar. One problem solved, another created.
They already overturned Roe v Wade and Thomas has said to bring cases to overturn marriage rights on the basis of race and sexual orientation. I’m a little surprised they aren’t also going after the right to work for the LGBT community, since we only just won that right in 2020.
