Rebirth was really good in my opinion, arguably the second best in the franchise. Jurassic Park is the best. I’d have to watch World again to compare it, but Rebirth was genuinely pretty good.

Where did Hollywood go so wrong? I thought movies were supposed to be an escape from reality, a chance to put your worries aside and not have to think about any underlying ideas or concepts. Well, not anymore. Take this Sonic The Hedgehog 3 movie they got out now: I watched it expecting to be dazzled and entertained, and instead I had to sit there as they introduced a big, central theme and then spent nearly two hours exploring the living hell out of it. Who wants that?

I think it’s logical, but it’s sort of like, if it was that easy why didn’t they do it sooner? And why wouldn’t guns work the old way but “reloading” just instantly dump all heat?

Come to think of it, hearing myself say it out loud, this is exactly how the laser rifles work in Helldivers 2 lol. They overheat slowly. If you fully overheat them or release early they swap out the current heat sink for a new one.

This reminds me of my old muted tortie Ranger! She looked a lot like this. My parents had to put her down a few years ago, sadly. She was the sweetest thing. Her and her siblings were all so drooly. Whenever you’d pet them, especially when they were in your lap, they’d drool. Ranger was the most drooly. She’d do it even if she wasn’t in your lap. She was very vocal. She’d sing the song of her people to be let outside. One day she just lost her voice, not sure why, maybe cats have a finite amount of meows hehe, because she certainly was the most talkative. She’d still make her silent ones.

One more story. She was such an insistent cuddler. When I was a teenager I didn’t want her in my lap because I had to get up at some point or something, I don’t know. I kept sort of shoving her paw off when she tried to climb down from the back of the chair onto my shoulder and down my chest to my lap. She finally started to move so so so slow. She was trying to sneak into my lap, like if she didn’t move fast she wouldn’t be seen or something. I got my mom’s attention so she could laugh too.

99% of the time if someone is telling you something like they nearly were suicidal over something you said and it feels really out of the blue like that they’re just manipulating you.

This is a nasty nasty situation to be in. I’d talk with your superiors and be transparent about all this, including the outing with your fiance. They might try to twist it into something it wasn’t.
