ipv6 adoption only matters for public reach. Right now if you want a website accessible by 75% of the world, it has to be an ipv4 endpoint. Though that is changing. I don’t know what they meant by that, I assume lemmy.ml that is not hosted in Brazil isn’t expected to know nor care about what Brazil’s laws say. But if that were the case, then Facebook also wouldn’t be expected to know nor care about what Brazil’s laws say. The citizens of brazil that use facebook? Sure, they should be subject to those laws. But why should any other entity that exists outside of Brazil be obligated to know nor care about Brazilian law?
