I suppose having a lawyer notify the school would be ideal. Most likely too expensive, though. So, yeah, ransom letter it is.

In other words, they are losing money on every user.English7·2 days agoVenture capitalism is when you give somebody money to start a business in hopes that they make it big, giving you really valuable equity for relatively little money. What you’re thinking of is blitzscaling. Scale up in an unsustainable way in order to gain market dominance, so that you can use that to become profitable.

- There’s more than one pharmaceutical company. Providing a better cure than your competitors allows you to take their customers. Hence increasing your market share and your profit.
- People would be willing to pay more for the one time cure than for the long term therapy. And since the cure is so cheap to make, presumably cheaper than the traditional therapy, the cheap cure can be sold at an even greater profit than the traditional therapy.
You need to remember that the global capitalist economy is not one team.
If you want to hurt him, say something along the line: “The product doesn’t work and most of the code is plagiarized”. Something that implies that the company is about to hit a rough patch. Something that suggests that investors shouldn’t invest, lest they lose their money.

Saledovil@sh.itjust.worksto A Boring Dystopia@lemmy.world•This boomer couple would be hit with $700,000 tax bill if they sold their mansion93·5 days agoThe fact that the house is woth that much in the first place. Thing is owning a single home doesn’t make you rich, since you need a home to life, you can’t get that money unless you’re willing to downgrade. Now these people are, but the tax is limiting their options. Real estate should be taxed while you have it, not when you sell.

Saledovil@sh.itjust.worksto Fuck AI@lemmy.world•Forgot to Ask Someone (Art by Shen Comix)61·7 days agoIt’s clear you don’t understand how AI works.
It’s basically just creating image after image until you find one that looks cool. About as artistic as searching through a database.
Apparently, the clothing with permanent shield charms are an invention of the Weasley Twins (https://harrypotter.fandom.com/wiki/Jinx-Off). So, not as widespread in the wizarding world as you assume. The article on the shield charm itself lists that most wizards can’t produce a functional shield charm (https://harrypotter.fandom.com/wiki/Shield_Charm), so yeah, guess a muggle with a gun could kill most wizards. I apologize for linking to fandom.
Where in the books does it say that?
