Education and learning are two different things. School tests are to repeat back what has been educated to you. Meaningful learning tends to be internally motivated and AI is unlikely to fulfill that aspect.

Was a designer. You would be surprised how many times people want something how they want it. You can tell them that it does not make sense/is not visually presented information/is simply not designed…they just want to tell you how they want it and your job is to execute it. They also tend to love it afterwards. They usually believe they know better or are so focused on admin/following a line they can’t see sense…or nonsense in this case.

You arnt old. And I also feel the same as you. I am becoming anti consumer. I hope as a last chance Gen x get to go out in a blaze. I am becoming more activist. We have been fighters all our lives. Time to use it for good.

It would be a brand banish button. If I see an ad, I wanna just have a button to banish them from all my devices…forever. I already have a rule you poss me off with adverts …I defo won’t buy.

Anyone found a convenient way for music that’s not perpuating a subscription? I’m an iPhone user and do like my tunes in the car. I’m good for movies shows etc. Dropped them all ages ago.

I totally agree. I just mentioned RKelly and MJ. I have had to stop listening. As time goes by more comes to light and I lose some good tunes.

Hmm I suppose I should amend. I have had this same dilemma with RKelly then MJ. I just can’t condone some artists.

Yeh I am not a gamer but have a family of them. As the tech person I’m usually the one dealing with purchases and set up. The evolution of gaming has become a real burden.

Yup the hype around monetisation is a scourge. It makes you me question so much of what I see, do. I hate being so suspicious. I feel like even simple life transactions are up for sale ‘see this one cleaning hack to change your life’ … idiot on a video wanders around with a duster like it’s a new invention. Even idiots filming every bite of an average sandwich. I sound old.

For me it’s in the conversations I have. Making them calm discussions with others about their goals helping them come to conclusions about the consequence (more to those they love than themselves) and trying to bring them back down to their real wants rather than what the media has them riled up about. Most people have benefitted from progressive movements they just forget how much.

Nostalgia, and frustration at avenues to personally moving forward seem to be a hurdle for some people. I am older, I have benefitted for the world of tech and science. I really feel for our younger gens. They can’t afford to live, homes are out of reach, job security and respect is sliding. This puts relationships, families and self worth at risk. I can see how radical ideas take root.

So you think the 40% is all made up of conservatism or could it be disillusion with what the parties are offering?

Is it really support of conservative? Even labelling it as support of far right when people are frustrated and choosing to protest vote can have a tone of condescension which can do more harm than good.

I am as annoyed as everyone else about the orange turdbag but ignoring root causes (in any country) is gonna eventually take a toll.
