Why are we signing a surrender “trade” deal with the US?
Why are we signing a surrender “trade” deal with the US?
We should not be signing trade deals with countries that sell out Ukraine, we should instead massively tax their tech companies and try to pop their AI bubble.
“Harsh conditions” is what happens when you live under fascism. If you die fighting it, you don’t live under harsh conditions, you’re dead.
I’m not talking about “a line” but if a whole bunch of people downvote you that means you failed to convince them which is the point of rhetoric.
Better die fighting fascism than live under it.
It’s not good rhetoric if it alienates people.
So now they pay people absurd amounts to take drugs?
They don’t. There are still regulations, particularly in Europe, that restrict what corporations can do. Many countries have strong unions and labour rights such as France, Belgium and Scandinavian countries. Activists document what the powerful do and organise protests against them. Contrast that with actual totalitarian regimes such as China and what the US is turning into.
Because corporate-backed governments want to control their citizens.
I had a friend who was like that (and still is) but he refused to see his problem, to get therapy, and also kept insisting I help him with various things that I couldn’t help with or that he could do himself. It’s easier to not be friends with that guy than to fix the unfixable.
Ah, so you’re not advocating for a crackdown in opposition in the case of a hypothetical war with Russia, you are instead insinuating that there is a plan to do that. Do you have any evidence?
What’s the point in defending against Russia if we’re going to be just like Russia?
That makes you no better than Russia, using conflict in order to take away people’s rights and instituting a totalitarian surveillance state.
I didn’t realise that “Venture Bros” was a TV series and thought you were talking about Silicon Valley tech bros and venture capitalists and was like “sounds about right”.
If you really want to be pedantic with your analogies, there’s an epidemic among both men and women but men are hit worse due to a preexisting condition.
The person you’re talking to is talking about it like a human being.
Word. I’m demisexual and greyromantic. The idea that any guy who isn’t dating or may have trouble dating is a fascist is inherently aphobic.
It’s not a fair comparison. Someone in poverty will use that million in order to lift themselves out of material poverty. Which means they will pay off debts, buy property, pay college tuition for themselves and/or their descendants, possibly start a business, and a whole bunch of other things I can’t think of. That would easily cost half a million. Someone who’s already rich will already have all that.
