I think with the right going hard right since 2016, in order to get access to any of the high level right-wing talking heads you have to be “loyal”. The second you are not Trump/MAGA will turn on you.They also make money hand over fist selling FUD that is much harder when just presenting facts.
Depends on what you’re doing with it. If it’s just for normal privacy you could just get a vps and install any of the wireguard packages. If you’re using it to evade copyright enforcement (or something similar) I don’t have an answer for that, but a VPN with your name attached is no longer a good idea probably.
It probably just asks Grok in the background using the full “you are MechHilter” prompt.
Yeah, I could read it faster but it also feels like it’s messing with my eyes. I think anything of real length in this style would give me a headache.
I personally read that passage faster than normal (2x-ish), but yeah, zero comprehension afterwards. If my brain is just filling in the blanks for the back half of every word I’m not actually “reading”, I’m solving a puzzle and then on to something else.
I just fake it … forever (there is no “make it”). I watch and try and adapt, and try and limit my interaction with people that are not people I don’t feel like I can blend with, like social camouflage.

If suffering from CTE it doesn’t seem that wild that his plan did not go according to plan, the guy essentially had dementia.
You could already do this for years through the “Files” app, just select the file/files and under the 3 dots “send to safe folder”. And it gets encrypted with a key on your device and if it corrupts or you try to open them on a new phone they wipe and are gone forever.

Ubuntu (and also Debian that it derives from) are always behind on the software release cycles and contain “stale” packages. This is desirable if you’re running a server, but if you’re wanting a modem day desktop experience a non-rolling release distro is just leaving performance/usability of your hardware on the table.
Think of Ubuntu/Debian and all their derivatives as the Jitterbug of the phone industry. They work perfectly fine, but if you want a real phone you’re probably going to be happier with an iPhone or Android phone just because they make use of newer technology and get updates constantly.
His admin has been antisemitic from the start, they have been pro-Israel because his Christian base believe Israel will bring Armageddon, and his MAGA/Nazi base like that Netanyahu is an authoritarian.
Trump just wants his “Trump Gaza Riviera” resort, and he’s not going to get it if Israel actually stops killing/displacing the people that live there.
Canada should call his bluff, and let him lose our top trade partner. If everyone had just come to a mutual agreement to call him on his shit either 1) he would have reversed and dropped this whole tarrif/trade nonsense by now OR 2) he would have absolutely cratered our economy and maybe even his base would see the light.
Campaigns like this have always been effective. And this is what the Right does, they complain en masse about everything that offends their hypocritical views. They are the ones that believe 110% in “cancel culture”, and then turn around and call the Left out when we block Nazis.
Also, MC and Visa are well within their rights to tell groups like this to go pound rocks, but groups like this also know if they grind down resources they usually win. The only way to prevent it is to ban the protesting of corporations, but then when they do the bad shit they love to do we’ll be without any recourse. It’s a bit of a double-edge sword.
So the part that I see repeatedly missed is that a “no porn think of the children” group out of AUS has been hammering these payment processors as part of a new campaign. It’s not something Visa, or MasterCard just decided to take the “high ground” on, they have been hounded.
So really if everyone wants erotic games back on Steam and other things affected by this group someone is going to need to create a counter campaign.
If you actually want to fuss with it you could always try some of the stuff from the Holy Wiki and see if it makes a difference. Sometimes it’s just “gremlins” though.
I ironically had a similar issue with moving to Wayland from X. I did everything I saw documented to make it work and it just either flat out didn’t, or performance was ass. Then I think when I had read about Gnome’s future plans to drop X I figured I needed to give it another go. In the end I’m not sure what made the difference (update/config/etc.), but I’m using Wayland now and performance seems the same/better and all is good. My install is also probably close to a decade old (or more - I have moved it between at least 3 disks) at this point so I also have cruft out the ass lol.
Edit - Got curious and decided to look and this install is dated 2013-02-24, so longer than I thought.
Yeah, nothing screams shady or coverup looking like sending your previous personal attorney to “interrogate” the one person that could implicate or exonerate you. And then feed her 100 names (of likely political rivals) and continue to publicly float the idea that you have the power to pardon them, “just because”.
Edit - IANAL but I feel like the tactic is to make it impossible to use any further “testimony” from her after knowingly sending Trump’s personal lawyer to feed her names. He’s made it so now, no matter what she says, neither side will believe she is saying it of her own free will. The only way to believe anything she says would be to find it in her or Epstein’s previous testimony.
I boot to login in probably under 5 seconds, so 30+ seconds seems like something is not configured correctly. And every Windows machine I’ve ever interacted with boots slow and updates even slower.
I feel like this is just like systemd, those that want to stick to the old ways are very vocal but are a very small minority.
