Voter roll purges, where and how many polling places, misinformation mailers and calls, super PACs, electoral college, etc. This election, and most every other election, was totally rigged. They suppress voting in huge ways. They hold it on a Tuesday and it’s not a national holiday. Even if your job doesn’t outright stop you from going, a lot of people can’t afford to take that time and go vote. All of this is well documented and carefully orchestrated. Yes, people voted for Trump, but if shit wasn’t rigged he would never even have been on the ballot. Yes, Americans are to blame for this outcome, but it’s not just the voters. This outcome is decades in the making. They just haven’t been nearly so effective in elections past.

I did this in the first Kingdom Hearts. I maxed out the number of gummies I could use and basically made a giant cube with a bunch of wings and guns and stuff. It was actually pretty good.
Yeah, that’s true. I can hear super well, but my wires definitely get crossed when there’s lots of other sounds. Hearing aids wouldn’t help me, mostly.
Can you politely tell her that you have trouble hearing her often and that she may need to speak up whenever she communicates with you? You can blame it on your own hearing to prevent offense.
You and my grad school advisor would have gotten along well.
From reading all of these comments, I feel like that should be a new thing. Talking about all the terrible things we’d rather experience than have a MAGA person living nextdoor (an immigrant family with trans kids not being a terrible thing, of course).
I’ll go next, I would rather have a painful pimple right at the crease/transition from your leg to your butt that has to be popped every day, which is excruciating, rather than live next to MAGA person.
Or a total asshole trying to fuck the rest of us anal motherfuckers. Lol
Well, I hope you keep on working on and giving attention to you. You’re worth it!

When they ask me where I get it (it’s happened twice so far), I say Lemmy. They say, “what’s that.” Gives me an opportunity to explain the similarities and differences with (advantages over) Reddit. No takers yet, but it’s coming.
Everything okay at home, bud?

In the right place, you could easily make your $300 back plus some. Unethical, certainly, but possible.
ZoopZeZoop@lemmy.worldto TenForward: Where Every Vulcan Knows Your Name@lemmy.world•"Especially the Bolians" - Neelix2·8 days agoI didn’t really care for the new movies as much as the old one. I liked the sound weapons (“My name is a killing word.” or something along those lines) in the original movie. Paul doesn’t end up with Chani (yet, at least). The Harkonens didn’t seem nearly as vicious. In the original, I felt that they truly enjoyed the suffering they caused and that they caused it for that joy, not just to make a point. Christopher Walken was a terrible choice for the Emperor (seriously, wtf?). There were some lore bits that weren’t in the older one that I did enjoy, but not enough to sway the needle of preference for me.
Yep. There is or was a giant one near my parents. Whenever it was blooming my dad would go over and take pictures. He was always so excited because it bloomed so infrequently.
Is this a night blooming cereus?

That’s a great cat! I’m sure the cost of vacuum bags is worth it!
My high school algebra teacher was so bad that she’d start teaching you one thing, get to the end of a problem, and realize she taught it wrong and start over a different way. I got a D in that class. Got an A in algebra 2 with zero increase in effort on my part.
Same people.
