No, I ain’t going back to VHS. The quality was horrible. I don’t want to fiddle the with tracking.
The best thing about it was that you could easily record what was on the TV.
Albbi@piefed.caOPto Programmer Humor@programming.dev•Object oriented programming in Python be like:English1·16 days agoI was looking to see if there are equivalents to Java’s private and protected members, and it looks like Python’s answer to that is just throw one or two underscores in front of things to do that. And it doesn’t really do anything, more of just a naming convention. To me that feels like a basic OO structure that is shoehorned into Python.

Yeah, I can see it.

Albbi@piefed.cato World News@lemmy.world•Nigel Farage says he would send violent offenders to El Salvador under crime crackdownEnglish3·23 days agoPoilievre isn’t a Trump clone. Trump is perceived as an outsider to politics, someone who isn’t a normal politician. Poilievre hasn’t had any other jobs than being a politician, and tried to run with Trump’s policies. I’m not going to say that’s why he lost the election, but he’s a long way from being a clone since he lacked one of the major traits that most people who would vote for Trump would identify with.

Still a horrible scene though, but not quite as horrific as your first imagining.
Albbi@piefed.cato Games@lemmy.world•Day 365 of posting a Daily Screenshot from the games I've been playing (One Year Anniversary!)English7·27 days agoCongrats on the year anniversary! I don’t always click on your posts, but when they show up in my feed I’m always happy to see it. I’ll have to try out Uncharted 4 since that’s your top game in the Best Of section.
When I’m playing games, I never think about taking screenshots. How do you manage to take so many? Do you have the mentality while playing that you’re always on the lookout for interesting shots to take? Do you have your finger hovered over the print screen button?

I find it crazy that this comic was published in 1992. Still as relevant as back then. Maybe moreso.
