  • First part absolutely true. Second part problematic, the Republican enclaves of NYC are not the underprivileged areas and Republican-leaning voters can’t participate in the Democratic primary unless they register as Democrat in advance. Underprivileged areas voted Cuomo because they’re conditioned to vote for candidates they see as “safe” - A lot of them are black boomers who’ve seen some shit and feel like they owe their safety to the Democratic establishment - And because of low information.

    Wish more people caught on to this! The AI wave is not an economic boom and it is not motivated by any sort of consumer demand, it is very much a concerted push by industry to further impoverish the working class on several fronts (Monetary, mental, organizational, etc). That’s why it has continued flying in the face of all economic logic for the past several years.

    Pretty sure that’s considered wage theft in all 50 states. But not surprised it happened to you, wage theft costs Americans more money than any other crime, literally billions of dollars annually. As far as I know there is no law enforcement proactively policing this stuff, anything that goes unreported goes uninvestgated and unprosecuted.
