Riveting!
I had a friend in high school who did the hand drawing exercise, it does work. He got really good at drawing hands.
I loved my breadmaker back in the day. I’m in an apartment these days though, so no room for a new one after the last one broke.
Fair. I don’t do audio stuff so I’ll take your word for it.
Agreed. A Virtual Machine is also an option. That’s how I got started, running fedora vms on my windows laptop ten+ years ago.
I have a todo app and have set up recurring reminders for daily/weekly/monthly tasks.
Daily for like dishes/trash/meals
Weekly for laundry/groceries/etc
Monthly for budgeting/deeper cleaning
I don’t stress if I miss one (or many, lol) but at least having them in the app means I have the list handy already when I realize I should check it, and not be wondering “what was that once a month thing I meant to do…?”
Hell yeah! Now that is going to loop in my head for the rest of the day…
That is my favorite clip to reference to tell neurotypucals about how my mind works.
Thank goodness meds can help tame it somewhat!
I don’t think we support mbin export/import ATM, but I’ve not tried
I added Lemmy export and import to piefed a while back.
I have a note to go work on the piefed export to Lemmy import on my List. It worked a while ago but seems unhappy at the moment. I’ll add mbin export to the List as well.
Backyard in your terms. Rimu is the main dev, lots more of us helping.
It’s not a company.
Yes. You can follow a user and get notifications when they post something.
You can follow a user, a community, an individual post, a comment, a topic (collection of communities), and a feed (user made collections of communities).
Then you get notifications for posts/replies as relevant.
Piefed.social might be an option: https://jolly-piefed.jomandoa.net/post/280967
Both. Took a half-day for the original date. Had to cancel that and take a half-day for the correct day instead.
Biometrics are fine as a /username/ but should not be used as a password - heard that on some security podcast ages ago and have kept with it since.
So basically I don’t use biometrics, lol
Literally just happened to me. My kids field trip, that I am chaperoning, is tomorrow. I had it down in my calendar for the day after. You have my sympathy.
Yeah, very similar here. It used to frustrate me to not be able to stick with a hobby or project or whatever for the long term.
Now I think of it more like dipping into hobby A for a while, doing something, then when the urge hits moving on to hobby B. But I know I’ll come back to hobby A at some point so it’s not as much of an ego blow if I remember to just accept that the focus has moved on for now, but will come back later.
For the federating its a new kind of AP actor. I’ll be putting in a FEP for it in the near future, but its basically a “Group” that only cares about the “Following” collection.
You can see example json for the AP interactions here: https://codeberg.org/rimu/pyfedi/src/branch/main/docs/activitypub_examples/feeds
The AP interactions for a Feed are:
I have done this exact thing. Its what multiple career coaches have said to do. In my experience the networking aspect of job hunting is the part that actually gets jobs these days.
So, imo, this is not wrong. Bob agreed so it was fine. It does sound like maybe buying Bob a beer and not asking that particular Bob to do it again is reasonable. But the process in general is sound!
Aside from the make-the-world-a-better-place stuff, I’ve always wanted to have the space/time to make my own holograms.
I have this idea for claymation+lasers+holograms to make little stop motion films, but as holograms.
I don’t know if it’s possible, but if like to play with the tech and find out
