Yeah, I’m aware of all the manual and code wheel based copy protections, but I’m pretty sure that the quiz in Larry was just a rudimentary age check. There’s even a button combination to bypass it, which would have been nice to know at the time.
We played Leisure Suit Larry with my brother at somewhere under 10 years old without knowing one full sentence worth of English, and it took hours to even get the game to start. There was a quiz about US history and politics or something for age verification, and it took a lot of tries to guess our way through and memorize the answers. Didnt get that far in the game either.
There’s a shitty horror flick called The Hand from the early eighties. Michael Caine is in it, hamming it for the paycheck I suppose but still kinda cool even if the movie is pretty bad. Anyway, there’s a terrible effects shot of the titular crawling hand pushing its way through the plumbing in a shower, and I still sometimes have nightmares of that scene decades later. 5 year old me was not ready.
Same, but I still recommend the movie to everyone. It haunts in all the right ways.
And circumcision of children.
Logitech G305
Wireless, simple, cheap (30 euros or so) and runs for half a year or so on a single AA battery. I used all sorts of fancy gaming mice for a good while, but if Logitech keeps making these I’m more than happy to get new ones when the buttons give up, which they always do eventually no matter the price point.
It keeps changing back to Gemini on its own for me even if I don’t use the assistant at all.
I’m pretty sure it was just a mighty dose of stupid. It was a while ago and at least officially the only organised gangs in my country back then were bikers and I don’t think face tats are/were their style.
Understandable. It’s hard for me to shut up too sometimes when I feel like being witty, but even doped up I realised well enough that I’d be stuck there for days with a pissed off Nazi sympathizer if the gramps took it badly.
I once shared a hospital room with two old geezers after surgery, and one of them had a visit from their grandson. The dude had Nazi tattoos all over his face, swastikas, SS lighting bolts, 88’s, the iron cross, the whole collection.
When the Nazi loser left, the old guy complained to us others in the room: “Lovely kid that… Such a shame he cannot get a job. I cannot understand why! Such a decent boy, has a forklift drivers license and everything!”
So yeah, in total that might have been the densest occurrence of idiocy I have ever witnessed.
I don’t think overdosing someone on morphine or some such anaesthetic or drug requires a medical degree.
So what is the standard rusbot argument for Nato expanding through willing submissions from new countries where Russias policy with their neighbors is beating them into submission where possible?
9 x 8 involves 10 x 8 = 80 - 8 = 72
This is more or less how it’s taught to everyone these days if I’ve understood correctly.
Same but also I don’t have any friends to go out with anyway, to fill out the full requirement I guess.
Nanobot by A Capella Science. The whole channel is pretty good, but this song just shines above the pack. Shivers every time:
I don’t know if time has been kind or not, but when I discovered Fall from Heaven II for Civilization VI I never launched the base game again.
I think there is a toggle for this in the UI settings.
I don’t know what energy this is, but not good either.
