They’re fine on disused tracks to make the land more useful, which they’re doing in France.

Որբունի@jlai.luto News@lemmy.world•Trump demands homeless move out of Washington, DC 'immediately'21·4 days agoThe Olympics have this every time. Summits for the elite too if it’s needed. What’s a bit new here is how shamelessly it’s advertised.
Someone raised the point you can’t change from GPLv3 if someone else touched the code and they don’t approve the change (unless you rewrite everything yourself). I’m not an expert but considering v3 is to avoid proprietary software more than v2, I would be very amused if this guy gets forced to admit it’s always been GPLv3 and he wasn’t allowed to set a restrictive license.
A confused question but actually it’s not stupid… the line between living and non-living isn’t 100% clear.

Picture taken in Paris ~20 years ago I’d say so you weren’t far off.
If those fuckers could read I wonder what they’d think of the book.
I’m still bitter Morrowind vanilla didn’t let you side with Dagoth Ur if you decided to also play an evil xenophobic maniac who wants to spread a flesh-eating disease on the continent.
I’d say very few games have a lot of effort put into the evil arc.
AliExpress at least lets you buy close to the source of a lot of goods that you won’t find made elsewhere than China. Some stuff I find there exists from European makers, latest example, trim clips for cars: you can buy Restagraf but you need to live near a car body shop supplier that will be willing to sell you a few clips without insane markups.

I agree far too many people are allowed to drive when they shouldn’t but people dying on the road is more socially acceptable than stringent standards for being allowed to operate lethal machines at insanely high speeds (in terms of kinetic energy at least).
Որբունի@jlai.luto Games@lemmy.world•The EU initiative for Stop Killing Games has reached the goal of 1 million signatures!!English19·1 month agoAt the current rate (which may or may not hold and may or may not be legitimate) the initiative should beat “One of Us”, the biggest one yet with 1.9M signatures (pro-life, ultimately did nothing).
Որբունի@jlai.luto Games@lemmy.world•The EU initiative for Stop Killing Games has reached the goal of 1 million signatures!!English9·1 month agoThey are supposed to meet with the seven people who first put the initiative forward. It won’t change their minds if they’re already against the initiative but if they don’t care it may sway them to hear it explained to them. I have zero expectations since EU bureaucrats live in a parallel dimension but there’s some hope something happens.

Brita filters are cheaper per litre (you can do more than 100l per filter if it’s for a kettle) and create less waste. Personally I only change the filter when I notice residue in the kettle and it’s been so long I have to clean out the jug with citric acid so I clean the kettle at the same time.
