I had been thinking that this show just didn’t have the spark of the original (probably because it’s further from the original work), and was annoyed that they’ve kind of Flanderised the idea of being a serial killer into a trope, but they are bringing together the plot lines in a very satisfying way here.

I personally kind of don’t like the Baptista plotline and feel it’s a bit of forced. It’s weird having someone know that Dexter is a killer and go around giving that answer to all the important cop characters.
It would be so easy easy to catch Dexter by having someone follow him.
They know him by name and face (+ his son) so I can hardly see how his name is getting cleared up ¯\_ (ツ)_/¯

Part of me hopes it winds up in a courtroom, if only there’d be a flashback montage, and Dex being fully out to the world with Harrison’s support. He’d probably become a boogeyman in prison and/or get a reduced sentence for what he has on Prater

I think they implied serial killers can get a deal by turning other serial killers in like the gemini dude whos #1 on the most wanted list

One of my favorite moments this episode was Eric Stonestreet grabbing the extra money as soon as Peter Dinklage made it available. It’s such a scumbag move, but he looks like such a harmless serial killer.

Really didn’t expect the Gemini thing hahaha, and nice switch up on the glasses lol

At first, I thought it was weird the that the still alive Gemini killer didn’t know about his brother going to meet Dexter, but thinking about it, the Gemini brothers must have minimal contact as they only seem communicate through meetings scheduled through weird bookmark appointements.
The still alive Gemini must be the one who put the bookmark in the book in the first place.

Also, they really did make Mia’s stay as short as possible huh, with perfect timing as well.

I am consistently amazed how fucked Dexter is after every episode.

Before last episode, NPH dead, Mia in jail, Dexter the most obvious suspect. During the episode somehow manages to convince, largely via luck, that he/“Red” is also “missing” but it’s just a plan he had as a serial killer. Also we can trust Peter Dinklage everyone, c’mon everyone! Also let me know kill ANOTHER one of the guy. Whoops he was a twin. Oops we’re on a helicopter.
