  • I binged the first three seasons of Upload around the time season three was released, roughly two years ago. The show started strong, but by season three it has clearly lost itself.

This trailer does look pretty good. Although a four episode final season seems more like a quick memo ending. Like it was founded juuuuust enough to finish the story. That’s better than most shows get, but I don’t have high hopes.

Basically as a “hidden gem” this show will be great when you can just binge watch it all, seasons be damned.

  • I am consistently amazed how fucked Dexter is after every episode.

Before last episode, NPH dead, Mia in jail, Dexter the most obvious suspect. During the episode somehow manages to convince, largely via luck, that he/“Red” is also “missing” but it’s just a plan he had as a serial killer. Also we can trust Peter Dinklage everyone, c’mon everyone! Also let me know kill ANOTHER one of the guy. Whoops he was a twin. Oops we’re on a helicopter.

  • …The Marvels, to make that film under two hours. …it’s the shortest Marvel movie of all, at 1hr 45m. (Though given The Marvels is regarded as one of the weakest Marvel movies, such brevity doesn’t always equal quality.)

Superman director James Gunn had to deny rumours Warner Bros had ordered him to make the film shorter

…watching The Fantastic Four that it strives to stay under the two-hour mark. In doing so it perhaps over-corrects a little: a blossoming romance between Ebon Moss-Bachrach’s The Thing and Natasha Lyonne’s schoolteacher suddenly vanishes midway through the movie – or more likely was sent to the cutting room floor by clockwatchers. Still, that did probably contribute to a film that, while not without flaws, felt appealingly brisk.

Maybe I’m alone but my chief complaint of all three of these films were how quick they were and how they didn’t give certain characters or stories the room to breathe, or in some cases room to be told.

Two hours is the minimum I expect, and an extra half hour is appreciated. Obviously I don’t want to slog through a film, but if you’re going to tell a rich epic story, it probably takes time, and I want to see it.

Now if I’m going to see a wacky comedy like The Naked Gun, that’s fine if it’s 90 minutes. A “kids” movie like Pixar, 90 minutes is fine.

  • Schedule for release on 2026 “alongside” Daredevil season 2, which is scheduled for March 2026.

I’m guessing this will come out in late Feb/early March, with a week or two gap before Daredevil season 2 starts in mid/late March.

As a special it won’t require you having watched Daredevil Born Again season 1, but might convince you to after seeing the special in order to prepare for season 2.

Daredevil Born Again season 1 spoilers

At the end if the first season we see Frank (The Punisher) trapped in a cage. He sweet talks the guard watching him and presumably escapes. I’m guessing the special picks up from there.

  • Disney has confirmed what has been known all along, they will fire you if you say anything they disagree with, even if they have to MISREPRESENT, MALIGN, and MISCHARACTERIZE you to do it.

She was fired for her posts on Instagram & Twitter. They didn’t make things up, she posted them publicly.

That being said when even Disney is giving up on lawsuits you know we’re in a bad place.

As for the actual argument, free speech just means freedom from consequences… from the government. If you loudly make an ass of yourself everyone else is allowed to laugh at you. If Disney thinks you’re costing them money, they’re allowed to fire you.

From a character perspective I’m bummed she got fired. I’ve never seen such a perfect character backstory told when Cara Dune was described as “From Alderan”, we the audience immediately understood her character so much better. But it’s hard to watch that character when I know the actor is a piece of shit.

  • That’s a bummer. I guess the book messed up then (or the show messed up the telling). The season 2 finale felt like a last minute rush after a season that took a long time to go anywhere.

Season 1 asked the question, what is outside? And then in the season 1 finale we get that answer, more silos.

Season 2 asked the question, what happened to the other silos? And while we get some idea, and the events of the original silo begin to mimic the other silos, setting up an interesting story where Juliette has to try and stop what she started, there is this last minute head of IT learning something so shocking he’s willing to leave.

I expect I’m going to learn at the start of season 3 what that was. I really don’t feel like spending a whole season on it since it feels like an extension of the original question, what happened in the other silos. And if I’m going to learn it immediately… Just tell me now.

(Also there is a question, did Juliette survive? Yes, they telegraphed that really well. Similar to her having the good tape being foreshadowed, the fireman suit was the same. So it’s not going to be a big shock. It’s not a between season kind of thing.)

Basically if season 1 ended with Juliette putting on the suit, that’s where it feels like season 2 ended.

  • WandaVision and Agatha All Along are the best MCU TV series so far, but they also shared Jac Schaeffer as head writer/show runner. Schaeffer started on VisionQuest, but left to focus on Agatha All Along and doesn’t currently have an MCU project she’s working on (publicly).

It looks like VisionQuest will be the second prong of the WandaVision sequels (Agatha All Along being the first). I’m guessing it will come together in a fourth series, possibly with Ironheart as part of a Young Avengers storyline. Although the storyline also leaked outside of TV with Multiverse of Madness, and we have a placeholder film between Doomsday and Secret Wars. So maybe we can sneak Young Avengers in there?

If the Young Avengers lineup is Kate Bishop (Hawkeye), Kamala Khan (Ms Marvel), Riri Williams (, Ironheart), Billy Maximoff (Wiccan), & Tommy Maximoff (Speed), then each Young Avengers would have had a TV series “prequel”. Then Young Avengers can be a soft sequel to Multiverse of Madness. Although I think it would be a struggle to do a Young Avengers film justice while continuing all those characters stories. But a TV series could probably do it, probably multiple seasons.
