I’m married and happy and we’ve played Stardew Valley together. Sometimes I leave the house and it’s possible my wife plays stardew while I’m not right next to her. Doesn’t mean I’m broken and lonely. Jesus fucking Christ.

How did he keep track of her heart progression? That’s the most impressive part to me. You’d have to be hovering round with the ring in your pocket for weeks
So merely saying “an egg” isn’t un oeuf.
I hate the focus on us all being doomed by the forbidden fruit. The way I see it we’re all doomed because Adam couldn’t handle being a bottom. The path to paradise is under a domme.

English4·5 days agoI like this analogy and it’s a good way to think about this sort of AI help, but I guess the problem arises when people don’t have the same awareness. If you don’t realise it’s more fun/satisfying, you might never take the training wheels off. I know it seems obvious to me or you but a lot wouldn’t see that correlation.
I’ve been playing co-op games recently and half my group want to revert the save anytime anything goes south. I always refuse (I host) and we’ve had some really fun times digging ourselves out of the hole. Even the save scummers agree they were the most fun playthroughs, but then they still want to save scum next time.

Here’s the report that led to it https://www.britishfashioncouncil.co.uk/uploads/files/1/The Report of the Model Health Inquiry, September 2007.pdf
I’d agree if you were arguing about banning all unhealthy behaviours in ads, that’s a better comparison and where this sort of argument belongs. I don’t think fat people need to be brought into it in this case though, this law is about the fashion industry encouraging eating disorders.
GiveOver@feddit.ukto World News@lemmy.world•Zara ads banned in Britain because of 'unhealthily thin' modelsEnglish24·5 days agoWell the law in question here wasn’t made because ads were normalising being a skeleton. The law was made because people were starving themselves on purpose to become like that. The adverts set an unrealistic beauty standard and women were becoming malnourished trying to reach it. So yes it matters. It’s literally why the law was created years ago.
Making an argument about “normalising” unhealthiness is a whole other ball game.

GiveOver@feddit.ukto World News@lemmy.world•Zara ads banned in Britain because of 'unhealthily thin' modelsEnglish311·6 days agoThe reason we target advertisements in this way is because they’re saying “this is what you need to look like” which encourages young women to starve themselves as they strive to be size 4. This is a separate issue to merely “normalising” things. If you’re concerned with normalisation of obesity, why are you focusing on adverts and not, say, The Simpsons or Family Guy?
GiveOver@feddit.ukto World News@lemmy.world•Zara ads banned in Britain because of 'unhealthily thin' modelsEnglish919·6 days agoDo you have any evidence that people are striving to be obese because of these adverts? I’d rather not have people call for laws based on vibes. Especially your shitty vibes.

Yeah but what about the second/third/fourth time you see them. First contact is easy.
He says they build it and drive heavier and heavier trucks over until it collapses, then they rebuild it exactly the same
I know it but I haven’t seen a good way of doing a long quote. Do I need the > on every single line? I’ve no idea why this time it put it into a code block, maybe something to do with my app (sync). The comment actually looks fine in a code block on my app so I thought it was good enough. Didn’t realise how shit it looked on desktop until you brought it up.
Whoa, wrong way round! The daughters got him drunk on purpose so they could rape him and have his kids.
