and just to be clear, i am not advocating capitulation to tyranny. i am saying to get armed, and to start resistance groups especially when the alphabet agencies start tracking. armed protests are more effective then ‘non violent’ ones. the no kings protest was the largest protest in america and was used to frame trumps parade, it was used to generate drama for the clicks and did nothing else. it was so toothless that the police didn’t even feel the need to intervene.

WraithGear@lemmy.worldto Superbowl@lemmy.world•A Word on Lobbying Efforts of Poison ManufacturersEnglish1·1 day agothat seems kinda unnecessarily traumatic. is there a reason snap traps are not preferred?
without a rallying force, its just sparkling crazed gunman
WraithGear@lemmy.worldto politics @lemmy.world•Convicted Felon Trump Lies About Crime Rate In D.C., Deploys TroopsEnglish2·1 day agoi am claiming what i said. the poster you commented to was being obviously hyperbolic. i don’t know what the gun laws are around pnw. but around here they vary wildly depending on where i go. the point of them was never to be insurmountable, but to be difficult enough to arm the correct people and to dissuade ownership for another.
WraithGear@lemmy.worldto politics @lemmy.world•Convicted Felon Trump Lies About Crime Rate In D.C., Deploys TroopsEnglish3·1 day agoare you arguing that stricter gun laws are not a barrier to arming oneself?
WraithGear@lemmy.worldto politics @lemmy.world•Convicted Felon Trump Lies About Crime Rate In D.C., Deploys TroopsEnglish74·1 day agoand here we are,
you’re validating the fears of the very people you dismissed, in the most backward ‘you might have been right about this’ I’ve ever seen, after decades of making gun ownership a partisan issue.
and then you ask me why haven’t i sacrificed my life to go on a murder spree… to kill your enemies… this is exactly what you are asking.
i don’t see where to join the Northwest Secessionist Forces, or any real opposition group to tyranny right now. what? is schumer going to send another nastygram?
i highly recommend that if you are or know a disabled person, someone on the LBGTQ+ spectrum, or a minority, to get armed and get proficient in its use.

WraithGear@lemmy.worldtoMicroblog Memes@lemmy.world•you ignore it until you can't anymoreEnglish5·2 days agothose experts say that the individual efforts to curb global warming is insignificant compared to other methods. its a waste of time akin to telling everyone to recycle, only for the dump to mix it in with all the other trash.
its theater to make people think that they are doing their part so they don’t band together and demand action. just like the ‘good’ protesting we do in the states is designed in a way to give people the illusion of making a difference all wile being easily controllable, and easily dismissed. when considered that its actually used as a method of control, preaching for individual efforts to curb global warming is worse then doing nothing because you stand in the way of the conversation that must be taken to actually solve the problem.
what has me upset is that they spent all that time getting rid of cashiers, for self check out… THEN THEY CLOSE 3/4 OF THEM! they will have 2 rows with a person there, for cigarettes and such, then have a single person watching 6 self checkouts. if trader joes/aldi had name brand snacks i would cut out wall-mart wholesale from my routine. the whole shopping experience is terrible, and for some reason wall mart is more expensive and worse quality

WraithGear@lemmy.worldto Television@piefed.social•Seth MacFarlane Applauds the ‘Incredible’ Timeliness of ‘South Park’ – Despite Years-Long Feud With Its CreatorsEnglish51·11 days agoremember that episode that made fun of people for taking global warming too seriously? not a bad episode, but a bad message.
the timings for school and its length were not dictated by health needs nor education needs.
it was chosen to match parents work schedule, and to aclimatize children to factory work.
so its not out of ignorance of the childs well-being, but indifference to it
i would be a hypocrite if i said yes.
