Hello! Some info about me is up on my website: https://wreckedcarzz.com/

Just keep the desktop on your lap, so it is a laptop. GGEZ. And bring a ups, that way it’s not a power strip.
China doesn’t have DIE
So that’s how they have such a large population!
What about the other colors, though?
It’s like this: if someone says ‘I won’t ever stab you’ and then later rescinds that statement, are you going to trust them more or less than someone who didn’t announce their stance on potentially stabbing you?
Yeah, I’d go with the other party, too.
Competition is fine, but just like the school bully, if I see him getting his ass handed to him, I’m stopping to watch, not to help. But I’m sure as hell going to enjoy the show.
Me, standing on the shore with a life raft next to me, watching Intel drown: ehhhh… do we really, though…? They tried to cancel a contract with amd and sue them in an attempt to kill the company in its infancy; they bribed major OEMs when amd was first to market with a 1GHz chip, first to market with x64, trying again to kill the company, this time through starvation; then they sat on their ass for 15 years with essentially no progress, just collecting cash for the most minimal of improvements… I’m sure I’m forgetting a ton of other shit the company has done, playing dirty at every opportunity. It’s been about a decade since I took a deep-dive into this.
I don’t have a (monitary) horse in this race, but as this has progressed, with the side addition of their chips literally disintegrating, it’s been very… enjoyable, validating, to have stuck with amd since finding out about all the bullshit intel has, would do, and continues to do, to try and control the market and remain in control, no matter the cost. Karma may, finally, have caught up with them.

What is this, 1990? Get one of them newfangled VCRs that skips them.
Mpreg is really getting popular eh
INSTRUCTIONS?! I don’t need no damn instructions! Back in my day we didn’t know shit and we liked it that way! Done built this here house without a damn clue what I was doing. She’s always been a fixer-upper, every year a wall falls over. Yep, they don’t make em like they used to, that’s for sure. I fought in 17 wars and I jumped out of helicopters without parachutes, knees crack and I’m just as good today as I was in 1872.
Cool! I’ve always used the default since I didn’t know where to get more. Thanks!
I took a screenshot of this same ad (at least I assume, for ink at a discount) a week ago when it popped up, as it might be useful (not ‘my’ printer, family), and then hit ‘don’t show again’ and have not seen it reappear. I have their Control Center 4 software installed, but not running on startup.
It was definitely weird but I gave it a pass as it has been the only time I’ve seen it or anything similar. I didn’t dig deeper into what program is/could be running/displaying it, so I don’t think I can be of help for that. But a data point.
Am a wolf (that uses LW), can confirm
Why is “ios” the only one not in all-caps? Why does the apple hq list their mobile system while the other two list their desktop/workstation/server systems? Why does each get a different proportion of the screen/why aren’t they equally sized/why are they not stacked vertically? Why is this man not using dark mode, and how is the obvious and glaring light bleed at the bottom-left of his monitor just get accepted?
This picture, it frustrates me on many levels.

And you thought you were having a shitty day…
Oof. I have my VMs getting backed up to another machine so theoretically (untested) I should be able to recover with less than a day of data loss (very minimal for this box). The annoying part would be getting it hooked up to a monitor and keyboard, since it’s under an end-table in the living room.
This is the first issue in like… 15 months? Hopefully it stays rather uneventful.
I’m always up late (it’s 5:19a), though a good bit more than usual lately. But I did the upgrade because I was anxious, had nothing to do, and there were no users utilizing the machine.
