  • I’ve been using IronFox since it came out and I don’t think it has been out for 2 years yet… are you thinking of Mull from which it was forked when DivestOS stop being maintained?

Also, I’ve been using Librewolf since its early days too, and their updates are always only 1 to 2 days behind an updated Firefox. I know cuz ai update daily on my Artix Linux machine and have both browsers. Whenever Firefox is updated its usually the same day or a day later that Librewolf is also updated to the same version number.

I get the concern, but honestly the Librewolf devs have proven themselves at keeping pace with the upstream for quite a few years now. Hopefully the Ironfox devs can do the same.

  • There’s a lot of good advice here. I recently went from doing the Busy Dad Burpee Program to a more well rounded (but admittedly far more time consuming) routine using rings and bodyweight.

The Busy Dad Program was 20 minutes, as many 6 count military style burpees as you can muster, alternate with Navy Seal burpees, same deal. Very time efficient, and it trains your pushup to failure, and also your cardio and legs somewhat well. But no pulling, and no intense legs nor core. Hence why I went for a more well rounded routine.

    My current routine is:

    • Warmup with L sits/Handstand practice, Hollow Body, bridging work.
    • 5x5 Ring Pullups
    • 5x5 Ring Dips
    • 5x5 Ring Rows
    • 5x5 Ring Pushups
    • 5x5 Hamstring Curls on Rings
    • 5x5 Nordic Curls
    • 5x5 Bulgarian Split Squats
    • 5x5 Dumbell Squats or Deadlifts

Plus 1 to 2 hours of stretching upper and lower body following Tom Merrick videos on YouTube.

I do this 2-3 times a week, and on off days I still stretch and do jump rope and core work/handstand/lsit practice.

Its still very time consuming, but perhaps you could find some movements or ideas here that you could scale down in terms of volume.

I actually do think the Busy Dad Program was a good program for time efficiency, but it is very incomplete in terms of various aspects of health and fitness IMHO.

Anyways, hope this gives you some ideas.

  • The easiest thing to do is make friends with plenty of people IRL through a shared hobby or interest. Those that are interested in being FWB will make themselves apparent over time. Just be honest and when appropriate, let people know you’re DTF, but not looking for anything more than sex right now.

There aren’t many people not looking for long term monogomous committed relationships. There might even be none in your area depending on your age and other factors. But that’s the best advice I can give on the matter.

EDIT: I know you said dating apps and IRL aren’t working for you right now, but honestly, there really are only two places to find people: online and IRL, so my advice still stands.

  • Pile on the Trump hate while you can, folks. Really push the Narcissist to die of a heart attack any day now.

Keep on shoveling those stress McDs Donnie, you sure you can’t stomach just a few dozen more? How about some bacon? I hear the Epstein files are getting released. That stressing you out? Your ol’ ticker feeling that strain as it struggles to pump oxygen to your single remaining brain cell? Good Donnie, good. I’ll need the address of your tombstone BTW, gotta know where the bathroom I’m gonna use for the rest of my life is.

Don’t worry Donnie, I’ll be sure to be right next to you in Hell watching you burn and scream. I can’t think of a better way to spend my eternal afterlife than watching you suffer.

  • Meh, I peaked late, so 30 was like I turned 25. It felt awesome. Now when you turn 40…well…I’m sure its different for everybody, but I definitely no longer felt young when that hit.

Only advice I have is stay as active as you can mentally, physically, socially, and spiritually. It all adds up. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve been like “Oh fuck you past me!” And also “Good job past me!” depending on the situation. So try and do right by your future self today if you can.

  • Until you have a distro that has the “Please wait while we update your system, do not turn off your computer”, and “something went wrong, please contact” screens and actual customer support, Linux won’t be ready for prime time with the majority of users.

The majority of computer and phone users are used to their asses being wiped and their bottle being fed to them.

And as soon as daddy Cook, daddy Nadella, or daddy Pichai started shoving piss poor UI, exorbitant prices, invasive advertisements, and extreme privacy invasions far up their anus, they start to complain.

But lo and fucking behold, all you have to do to get them to stick some lube up there and beg for more is show them a Linux shell. What a fucking surprise.
