This is it. Anyone who might be interested in “fighting back” who has half a braincell knows it’s just not possible. It needs to come from a state, or even a city. It needs to have some political figurehead, some borders, some organization. Taking on the government is not a DIY operation, and said government is not going to let some organization pop up when that organization’s goal is to fight back.

We’ve been “legally” spied on here for my entire adult life, and then some. Brainwashing red hats was the last step.

This is kind of it. I know there are protests and movements and all that, but folks on here say it’s not enough, and that may be true, but as you jest, one guy isn’t getting anywhere by himself. And to take it a step further, putting together some kind of group will draw the attention of Alphabet Agencies faster than anyone can do anything.

We’ve got 20-plus years of spying on American citizens, and that’s on the books, excluding what they did before they legalized it.

Putting aside reality, the day New Jersey decides to bounce, I will fight for New Jersey. When people ask the general “What are you waiting for,” I’m waiting for NJ to declare war on the world.

I just wouldn’t think to look up a word I assumed I was pronouncing correctly. I’m pretty good at this reading thing, and so I apply the standards, but words like epitome and ethereal are just here to fuck with us.

Trenton, NJ, the most densely populated state in America, only has 91k. This represents only 1% of the population, versus 10 in ND. I’m not sure how it is around the country, but of the capitals of NJ, NY, PA, none are amongst the most populated cities in the states. And I don’t really care about the rest of the states (and I like Mass, but it doesn’t fit my example), so that’s that.

You’ve certainly piqued my interest in regard to populations of capitals v. the states they represent.

EDIT: And the first search result on the Google is from a Reddit post from seven years ago, listing 17 states in the US where the capitals are the most populated cities. With a map, because who doesn’t like pictures?

EDIT 2: I’ll just take this opportunity to spout some nonsense I like to spout: NYC (at least Manhattan, but maybe even out to Montauk, but of course excluding garbage ass Staten Island) and Philadelphia should be part of NJ, as they have more in common with NJ than they do their own states. Upstate NY and pretty much the entirety of PA are rural hick people. And sure there’s some exclusions, Pittsburgh, the finger lakes, Rochester, but for the most part, rural hick people.

Yeah, maybe just word it different, like “Say hello to each other,” and it has a less condescending tone. I read that first one and expected some terrible advice to follow, and it all ended up being good advice; maybe worded a little of-the-time, but still good.

Always the answer until it goes to complete shit. Folks will always suggest other forks, but in the same breath describe them as subpar compared to Firefox base. FF is still best, just tweak it a smidge, browse away.

I’ve never even considered it. If I have too many items, I go cashier. We shoot the poop or we don’t, I bag my groceries and go home. If I have few items, I qualify for the self-checkout, I do my shit, say “Thank you” to the person who monitors the lanes, and then I go home. I give none of it a second thought because it’s such a meaningless part of my day.

I would kill for this. Maybe not kil, it’s not a big deal. But I used to walk into my local grocer and just drop shit in the reusable bags I always bring. Then people were stealing, obviously, so they said you gotta use the baskets or a cart. So I use a cart, and it’s not a big deal, it doesn’t matter, but if I could scan, drop in my bag, and walk on, it would save a couple minutes. But as I said, it’s not a big deal, nothing matters.

This is fantastic and I need to learn more. I would love to be a part of something like this. I always think about medicine, specifically to fight infection, in a world that you can’t just go get it at a pharmacy.
