There’s a pretty good chance the house I grew up in will be bulldozed to build a condo complex. The 100+ year-old oak tree might survive, but more than likely it’ll be cut down, as will the maples and the plum tree.
The birds will move on.

Edit: I was wrong of course
The extended DVD for 40 Year Old Virgin features all the “how I know you’re gay” that didn’t make the movie itself. I giggled extensively.
Someone will figure out a way to allow micro-transactions where you pay a small fee to piggyback on existing subscriptions, so you don’t have to pay for everything, you can just drop three bucks to use part of an account that a subscriber isn’t using
I wonder how tough it would be for someone to start a DVD cottage industry, replicating the old Netflix model, where you mail hard copies of pirated movies upon request? I already order hard copies of movies from Amazon if I know I want them in my collection permanently, but damn, sometimes those are pricey as hell

No they won’t, they will understand that they need to make sure they’re improving the PR for their shitty practices and have robust RnD in place to make sure their long-term shitty practice plans are evolving
Where I work we’re only allowed to roll five vacation days forward. Any days not taken above that are paid out at the end of fiscal from the budget of the director, so there is a rather firm rule against management declining vacation requests unless absolutely necessary. Come February, emails are generated every couple of weeks reminding managers to follow up up with employees who have more than a week remaining, so it’s used by March 31.
