Covid is still around, but our levels are fairly low. Here the covid levels are also tested with the wastewater. So if theirs is on the rise, and ours is so low and stable, then there’s something weird going on. Looking at the other comments, I suppose vaccinations play a large role in this.

I find this so weird, here in Europe, and notably in the Netherlands, Covid levels are very low and not rising at all. We all live fairly normal lives nowadays.
Why is USA such a different case? Is it a lack of vaccinations?

I eat fries coming from my airfryer. So it’s not deep fried. :P

As a too young kid I saw the scene of him grabbing the boy and pulling him inside the bed and then blood sprayed out of the bed. And uh… 40 years later it still affects me. Yeah, don’t show that stuff to kids, people! It does affect them even though they’ll never talk about it!

Currently reading Keverjongen (original title: Beetle Boy) by M.G. Leonard. I find it enjoyable so far and am curious how the story’ll end so that’s a good sign.

We call it the ‘pannenlikker’ in Dutch. The Pan Licker, basically.

Apparently only 2 to 3 million travel to Mecca every year, that number is much lower than the lowest in this list (36.9M).

And for China, after covid the amount of visitors had decreased drastically. In 2024 about 32M people visited China, still lower than the lowest in this list. So it probably isn’t really that much higher in 2025.

One of my cats has problems with his gums. I give him kitty toothpaste every day, and sometimes even brush his teeth a bit. As long plaque won’t form, he’ll be fine my vet said.
