Big fuckin shrug on the shave/no-shave thing. Both are hot if they’re hot and down. Same for dudes.

And if unshaven whatever really turns you off, it’s OK but IMO kinda sucks for you, because most people have body hair and hair tends to grow back.

Obvs bodily autonomy is the core issue but personally:

I like to shorten all my body hair with clippers especially my underarms and genitals because I find anything more than an inch or so pulls at my skin or traps things that are difficult to clean out.

(just because sometimes when I mention these things men get squeamish)

Back when I still menstruated regularly I would have to de-mat the clotted blood to clean my vagina daily and I was menstruating bi-weekly (had to go on birth control to make it once monthly and eventually just decided to get an IUD and it stopped altogether). The labia majora (big outer lips) are the same skin that turns into the scrotum when a baby is exposed to enough testosterone to become a boy, so imagine having to tug hard enough to de-mat a similarly sensitive skin).

I object to this take … But only because in my local parlance “clippers” would mean “nail clippers” and I find that concept rather frightening.

        Otherwise, hell yeah bodily autonomy!

Wife is the first Asian I had ever been with. She’s so hairless I thought she oiled her legs on our first date.

Only been with a few Asian folks and do recall less body hair generally. Either way, hairless: also hot. Mazel

Me and you both! I so love that it takes her about zero effort to be hairless. Yet the top of her head is thick as hell and solid black at 54!

As a woman with hairy pits I really don’t get the whole fetish for them. Like I just let them be hairy because of feminism from college encouraging me to reject stupid beauty standards then me promptly not giving a shit from then on.

Anything that’s considered dirty or forbidden is going to have a fetish attached to it. That’s why lots of people have foot fetishes but almost nobody has a hand fetish.

in my case I’m pretty sure it’s because I was shipped off to daycare way early by my parents and imprinted on a Portuguese woman in a year well before it was fashionable for women to remove every visible hair on their body from the nose down 🤷

(yes I lived in an area with a ton of people of Portuguese descent and yes the women of such descent tend to be hairy, among other clues which lead me to suspect this)

Honestly, my entire philosophy is “trim, and only coean shave if you want to.” Letting that shit go is gross and I don’t care who you are. I’m a dude and I trim, and I won’t ever ask someone to do something I won’t do myself so that’s where it stops.

I also do partner dancing and, honestly, if you’re wearing a tanktop and your two-to-three inches of armpit hair is just out there being sweaty I don’t think it’s particularly respectful to expect people to put their arms anywhere near that nasty business.

Just do the bare minimum, I won’t ask for any more than that.

Do shaved armpits stink less? I’ve been shaving mine when the hairs are past a few cm long, which should reduce the surface area, but it’s still an armpit and I can’t tell if it’s better or worse or unchanged.

Also side note the expectation to shave one’s arms and legs is bullshit but I can use like half the amount of sunscreen with the hairs being short and that’s pretty nice.

Depends, but long armpit hair can cause BO as it keeps the moisture in and gives extra area for bacteria to grow. Generally anti bacterial deodorant prevents this.

The answer depends on the person. For me, having a bit of breathability from some hair keeps the moisture/sweat down, reducing bacteria growth. The extra hair surface area also really helps with deodorant lasting. As long as you are clean it shouldn’t matter.

Only thing I would worry about from shaving is ingrown hairs. Remember to sanitize your razorblade.

Yeah, I’m keen to agree with you, since for me it’s the complete opposite: My armpit hair seems to trap humidity against the skin even when air can get in there, and the smell of the sweat sticks to the hairs so if I sweat even momentarily a few times it’ll start to smell whereas it evaporates better if I keep it shaved.

I use an electric razor so it’s more like a really close trim than a clean shave though, practically never have problems with ingrown hairs, so that’s something I’d recommend.

I find women with hairy armpits hot because they don’t let society dictate how they should live.

You’re assuming no woman without hairy armpits is simply making that choice for themselves.
You’re also assuming no woman with hairy armpits is simply conforming with their non-conformist social group (such as “throathole” up there in the OOP), doing it to fit in with their explicitly-defined definitions of social rebellion.

My favorite color’s pink, and one day when I was wearing a pink shirt, a friend, well-intentioned, I’m sure, commented ‘real men wear pink’, as if to compliment my ‘rebellion’ toward gender/sex norms.

But it wasn’t rebellion. It’s just a color I like. Same can just as easily apply to a guy wearing blue, who isn’t trying to ‘conform’, but simply likes that color.

Sometimes it’s just not that deep, and honestly I kind of respect it more when someone makes a choice like that based on neither conforming nor rebelling against an expectation. In a way, it’s more non-conformist to not give a shit what ‘side’ your subjective choices happen to land on.

I dunno. I bought a pink hoodie at a female musician’s show and my then gf didn’t think I’d wear it in public. The first time I wore it, a tough looking dude said, “cool hoodie.” I liked the design, but I also appreciated that some men wouldn’t have worn it and a guy who stereotypically wouldn’t be thought to appreciate it did. We can all like things for whatever reasons.

I find some women hot. I don’t judge by the armpits, that’s not my thing. Boldness is hot when wielded correctly tho. I agree with the spirit of rebellion guy, even if not the wording.

Many people use language which is imprecise. Most “genie” movies are “cautionary tales” and attempt to improve common language used. Few people understood.

The conception of genies hanging out in lamps and granting wishes comes from the story of Aladdin. Most genies aren’t like that. They’re similar to demons or angels in Christian mythology.

What about women whose asses name is not Harry? And do the women wear the tank tops or the asses? I’m confused.
